Privacy Policy
This page explains what information The Indian Insider collects when you read the site and how it is used.
What we collect
We do not ask readers to create accounts. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and article content and images from Sanity, our content system, which may also log these requests.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people read the site and which stories they read. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site; we do not use it to identify you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Cookies
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies above, the site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we add advertising in future, this policy will be updated first.
