Hi Friends, today I am going to show you how to make mushroom biryani with step-by-step photos. Quick and simple biryani recipe made with basmati rice.
About Mushroom Biryani
Basmati or seera samba rice is used to make this dish for mushroom biryani. Coconut milk can be added in place of water. In this recipe, vegetables are not necessary. Green peas can be added if desired to offer more flavour and taste. My kids adore mushrooms a lot. I always choose the mushroom package at the grocery store and make biryani right away. Mushroom biryani will be delicious when compared to mushroom curry. Particularly for youngsters who don’t eat meat, mushrooms are a highly healthful dish. Mushrooms offer comparable health advantages to meat-based foods.
We must never forget to check out the mushrooms before purchasing them. By observing the colour of the mushroom, we may determine if it is fresh or not. Fresh white mushrooms are used. It is recommended to keep mushrooms in a refrigerator in an airtight container. I always finish one mushroom at a time. Mushrooms have a very short life and degrade very quickly, so even after cooking them, storing leftover mushrooms is not safe. Prior to cooking, mushrooms should be very carefully cleaned. INGREDIENTS
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp biryani masala
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 onions
- 1 tomato
- Few coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 cup water
- 200gm mushroom
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash mushroom and keep it aside.
- Wash and Soak basmati rice for 30 mins
- Take a pressure cooker and heat coconut oil and ghee.
- Add bay leaf
- Add biryani masala powder.
- Add chopped onion and saute till it turns into golden colour.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute well.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook for few mins.
- Now add all spice powders and mix well.
- Cook for 2mins until all spice powders raw smells goes.
- Add mushroom and mix well.
- Add salt and cook for 4 to 5mins.
- Simmer the flame and keep stirring at intervals.
- Add water and cook for 3mins.
- Now add soaked basmati rice.
- Close the lid and pressure cook until 2whistle on a medium flame.
- Once done allow the biryani to rest for 10 mins and open the lid, mix it gently.
- Mushroom biryani ready to serve.
